A recent report from Spain suggests Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane looks forward to starting a younger side as he plans to rest the veterans such as Modric, Kroos, Ramos and even Cristiano.
According to ABC News, Zidane plans to start a B team against the Catalan club. The move may seem risky but Real Madrid have nothing to lose in the game except their prestige.
The plan to rest the big names can be seen as a smart move. The La Liga season has been decided and Barcelona are crowned champions while Real Madrid have registered a place in UCL for next season.
The only thing which Real Madrid can do is stop Barcelona from finishing the season unbeaten in La Liga. The clear objective for the capital side is the UCL final as they aim to win the title for the 3rd consecutive time.
Keeping in consideration the World Cup 2018 and UEFA Champions League Final, the players will benefit from the rest and the youngsters like Dani Ceballos, Theo Hernandez, Marco Llorente and others can have a go and showcase their potential. This might even help them in gaining confidence and earning a spot in their respective National side for the Russia World Cup.
Seeing the track record of Zidane and his rotation policy. This might be likely to happen. The French coach has a persona and career which demands respect and allows him to take bold decisions which can’t be the case with other people undertaking a similar job.
