The 32-year-old Spaniard will be playing for the royal whites with the captain’s armband 6 days later in Kiev against Liverpool for the UCL Final. Sergio Ramos who plays as a center-back for the club knows the competition well and insists his side is aware of what is needed to win the title.

“We know what a Champions League final entails. We’ve played in quite a few (UCL Finals) in recent years and we know what a huge occasion it is. We have to be focused because it can come down to very fine margins in these matches.”
Real Madrid are in their 4th UCL final in last 5 years. They have won all of the previous ones and now are on the quest to conquer the 3rd consecutive title. Club’s number 4 jersey bearer claims that football moves so swiftly that one isn’t able to enjoy the success long enough. There is another competition around the corner waiting for even more work to be put in, just like the FIFA World Cup which starts 20 days after the UCL Final.
“Winning 3 straight Champions Leagues is a dream and ambition of mine, but I don’t know what it would feel like. Football moves so quickly that you don’t have enough time to enjoy each moment. We always put our heart and soul into every competition that we play.”
As Real Madrid are set to achieve which hasn’t ever been achieved by any team ever in the current era of the competition. No team has ever defended the cup but Real Madrid changed that last season by winning second consecutive UCL title. This year they are on a hat-trick and if they manage to get their hands on this title, it won’t just be a successful season but also a defined era.
“Now we’ve been rewarded with another final and I hope we can win it because it wouldn’t just mean winning the Champions League again, it would prove this team has defined an era.”
The UCL Final between Liverpool and Real Madrid will be played on 26th of May 2018 in Kiev, Ukraine at 7:45 PM CET. The match will be telecasted live all over the globe via the official broadcasting partners of UEFA.
