Cristiano Ronaldo made some comments right after his side won the 3rd consecutive UEFA Champions League Final. The 33-year old with teary eyes claimed he will discuss his future of Real Madrid when he joins his National side as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.
A journalist friend of Cristiano Ronaldo, named Nuno Gomes talked to the Spanish Sports Radio network El Larguero and revealed the issue behind the comments of Cristiano.
On asked if there is a possibility of Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid, Nuno claimed there isn’t that much of exaggeration as of now.
“I don’t think he will go, but he’s annoyed that they said his deal would be renewed and with the passing of time, nothing’s happened.”
Nuno talked about the issue where the whole difference started to take place between the club and 5-time Ballon d’Or winner. He also believes that the issue will be resolved.
“The two will understand each other. He is the best player in the world. If you look at how he is paid, Cristiano is very underpaid and he wants a sign from the club like Barcelona did with Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi. They renewed them bit by bit. That makes you happy to be happy, content and you get money from the club.”
The friend of Ronaldo further claimed that the club did not fulfill their promise as of now and that’s what makes the number 7 of the club feel left out. According to him the relationship between club President Florentino Perez and Cristiano Ronaldo is not that warm as it used to be.
“It’s a little bit cold. He was promised that the club would renew and raise his wage. When he asked the club they said it wasn’t the moment. The season finished and nothing happened. He feels a bit put out, sad because they didn’t stick their their word.”
Finally, Nuno answered the possible destinations where Cristiano Ronaldo could be in Europe but he raised some valid points which would make Madridistas have a sigh of relief. He claimed that the only club which would cater to the ambitions of Cristiano is Real Madrid, where he can continue to win trophies and keep contesting for Ballon d’Or race for quite a few years.
“It’s too early for that. There is no better club for Cristiano than Madrid. He likes the city. It has always been an old dream of PSG to sign him. In Europe or PSG or return to United, the club he has a lot of love for. He wants to stay and he doesn’t see a better club to win titles and Ballon d’Ors.”
Cristiano Ronaldo will join his National team on 4th of July as his side Portugal NT looks forward to replicating their UEFA Euro 2016 France campaign in FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia.
