Cristiano Ronaldo names his six potential successors.

The Portuguese forward names the players he thinks will dominate the world of football in the near future.

Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer has picked up six names which will be dominating the game after he and his rival Leo Messi both have retired.

There have been several inclusions from a wide range of highly talented and hardworking youngsters. In his latest interview with World Soccer, Cristiano Ronaldo named the promising talent which is set to overtake the domination of the two veteran footballers.

The names mentioned by the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner as follows:

1) Marco Asensio 

The first name on the list is of the man known for scoring in his debut games, big stages and against prestgious teams. The 22-year-old Spaniard is considered the rightful heir of Real Madrid’s number 7 jesrsey after Raul and Cristiano Ronaldo. The youngster was proven to be the bargain of 21st century for the club costing only 3.7 million euros for Los Blancos. He was recommended by the club’s celebrity fan and honorary member Rafael Nadal. Asensio now will take part in Spain’s conquest of FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.

2) Neymar Silva Jr

The mention of Neymar Jr is no surprise at all. The Brazillian is already considered as the chosen prince to rule the world of football. The ex-Barcelona man moved to PSG this season for a world record fee of 222 million euros which makes him the costliest footballer on the planet. The 26-year-old will now be aiming to lift the World Cup trophy in Russia.

3) Kylian Mbappe 

The youngest name in the list, 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe has been a starter for Monaco last season and this season he lined up with Cavani and Neymar at PSG. The youngster has already proven his worth against veteran goalkeepers such as Gigi Buffon. He is the second most costliest footballer on the planet costing PSG 180 million euros.

4) Ousmane Dembele 

The former Borussia Dortmund player joined FC Barcelona this season but has not played much due to his injury and limited playing time. Though the 21-year-old will be representing France NT in Russia for the FIFA World Cup 2018. The Catalan club paid 147 million euros for the young sensation which speaks for his quailty.

5) Eden Hazard 

The oldest name of the list, 27-year-old Belgian footballer will be representing his side in Russia for the FIFA World Cup 2018. The Chelsea man is long associated with a move to Real Madrid but currently he enjoys success with his English club while impressing the fans with his playmaking.

6) Marcus Rashford 

The 20-year-old English player who travels to Russia for the FIFA World Cup 2018 is an integral name for Cristiano Ronaldo’s former club Manchester United. At a very young age Rashford has recieved praise from elite players and connoisseurs of the game.


It is interesting to see that Cristiano mentions his Real Madrid teammate as the first name ahead of Neymar Jr. The names mentioned have already been playing for big clubs in Europe. The inclusion of these future stars in the prestigious list will be a badge of honor for all the youngsters.

Cristiano Ronaldo now prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia campaign with his Portugal NT. He will captain his side as the defending European Champions kick off their campaign against Former World Champions Spain on 15th June 2018 at 7:00 PM CET. The match will be telecasted live via the official broadcasting partners of FIFA.
