Ramon Calderon the former Real Madrid President who claims to have been the key reason for Real Madrid’s galactico signing of Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken on the rumors which link the all-time top scorer of the club to the Italian club Juventus.

Ramon Calderon believes if Cristiano Ronaldo left the club it would leave a void in the team which would be difficult to fill especially in the scenario of finishing the chances.

“If Ronaldo were to leave Madrid, he would leave a gap that would be impossible to fill, you can not easily find a champion who, in addition to participating decisively in team play, guarantees more than 50 goals per season, and much more for the past nine years.”

The former President who in past has used derogatory remarks for the club players like David Beckham has now blamed the current President Florentino Perez for not handling the big names in a manner which they would have liked.

“Florentino Perez has made excellent decisions for Real over the years, but he has the defect of not picking up the inheritance that is left to him by others. Something similar happened with Iker Casillas and Raul.”

Ramon Calderon who had resigned after being alleged to rig voting for the financial budget believes that Florentino Perez has not been valuing the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, which has resulted in this situation where the player and club are on the verge of parting ways.

“It culminated when Ronaldo realized Florentino didn’t value him the way he should. He wanted a better salary, which is normal for the best employee in a company.”

Cristiano Ronaldo apparently told media right after winning the 3rd consecutive UEFA Champions League title that he may leave the club and there are things which are not solved by money. The media referred it to an indication towards his tax invasion case where he’s reported to pay 20 million euros as fine.

Though the 67-year-old Ramon Calderon says that money was the issue why Ronaldo started to feel upset and that is where the situation of him considering the exit options arose. As Real Madrid were rumored to sign Neymar Jr from PSG, but the club has denied a few days ago in their official statement that they are not in pursuit of the Brazillian superstar.

“He was upset when reports said Real were prepared to pay double his salary to Neymar.”

The former President whose antics had cost club their reputation as the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson labeled the Spanish side as “immoral”, now believes that Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing would be beneficial for the Italian side and would give them an edge in the Champions League a trophy which the Turin based club has been in pursuit for quite some time.

“Juventus have long won the right to be considered one of the great clubs in world football, so it would not be strange if he left and chose the Bianconeri. This acquisition would allow Juventus to consolidate their superiority in Serie A and give them an edge in the Champions League.”

Cristiano Ronald being the all-time top scorer of UEFA Champions League may just get Juventus the edge they require to get over the wall and get the big-eared trophy in their vault.

Cristiano Ronaldo is 33 years old but still is continuing in the form of his life. Ramon Calderon claims that his huge fan following would also be beneficial for any club he signs as he himself is a big market and would sell merchandise while bringing in sponsorship deals.

“Ronaldo is a huge market opportunity. Many clubs would like to have him.”

The media outlets in Spain and Italy have already been hyping the news as if the deal is done. There is no official report or confirmation to any sort of transfer but it is said to be announced officially within this week. As of now, Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying his off-season break with his family in Greece.
